Bugs, weeds and diseases were easy to look up, and solutions were given. This book has been a great resource for a student Master Gardiner. I used it while building my "problem board". The pictures are very good, although I would have liked more close-ups on some of the weeds. This book will always have a place on my gardening bookshelf.
i needed this book for college and everyone was having a hard time finding as the bookstore at school was out. i came home that very day and found it on amazon for a price i just couldn't believe (the same as the bookstore, had they had it) now people are finding the book for so much more than i paid, and of course, i will keep this book forever and use it as a reference.
Very helpful. We live 35 miles from the nearest nursery. When I visit, they often use this very book. If its good enough for them, it's good for me.
This book is great for every type of gardener. I have purchased this book for myself and since then have purchased and given it to friends and family as gifts to help them in their gardening adventures. The photos and information allow you to easily diagnosis and treat pest and disease problems before they ruin your plants, shrubs and trees. I wouldn't be without it. There is no other book available that is more informative or easier to use. This remains #1 in my collection.
Bought this book last year and use it not only for my own questions and reminders, but use the great quality photos to show my customers an example of the problem they are facing on thier property. Being the gardener for a landscaping company, I need to identify and resolve problems with anything from a soil issue to finding a way to save a customer's favorite tree. This book stays in my truck ALWAYS.
